When I reflect on the origins of my photographic style, I find that nature lies at its very heart. It was the allure of the natural world that first inspired me to pick up a camera, seeking to capture the thundering waterfalls and starry skies that had captivated me for so long. Naturally (if you’ll pardon the pun), this passion led me to landscape photography, which remains one of my greatest loves.

Over time, my lens began to shift—not away from the landscapes I cherished, but toward the people who shared these breathtaking spaces with me. My journeys have taken me across the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Iceland, Spain, and Austria, and along the way, I discovered the beauty of capturing human connection against the backdrop of the world’s most stunning vistas.

Now, I am embarking on a new chapter: preserving the memories and moments that shape us as profoundly as the landscapes we inhabit. As you begin this incredible journey with the person who holds your heart, let’s venture somewhere extraordinary together. Highly recommend Erik!! He's very professional and quick to respond to any messages and answer any questions in detail. He's patient and responsive and does great quality work! We had Erik do our engagement photos and we used many different spots in our location to get a variety of photos and poses. I was worried I would be too critical about those photos but in all honesty, there were so many moments Erik captured for us that I love! We decided we wanted Erik to do our wedding photos next year too because he not only is a good person and easy to work with but also provides quality photos! So… what’s it like to have me follow you around with a camera?

Short Answer: not as weird as it sounds.

The long answer: I’m pretty quiet behind the lens and prefer a more documentary style approach. You and your partner being authentic together is what I’m most excited to capture.

I will probably ask you about your favorite places you’ve ever been (mine’s either Iceland or Mallorca)and your pets (we have two adorable cats).

We’ll build breaks and private moments for just the two of you into the day, and I’ll do anything I can to make the experience as special and comfortable as it can be for you.
